Good Opening Win for Minors

Ballycastle Gaels 1-03

Mitchelstown had a good win last week over the Ballyhooly/Castletownroche outfit in the Rebel Og North Div.2 Football League in bad conditions.

Both teams did very well to play good football in very bad conditions & it was Mitchelstown who led at half time by 1-03 to 1-01.

MItchelstown started the 2nd half the better and an early goal and point had them 5 points ahead in the 45th min & as hard as Ballycastle tried, they could not reduce the gap and another Mitchelstown goal in the 22nd minute put 'Town in complete control as they ran out 9 point winners in the end.

The selectors were delighted with the win as they are training hard and it was good to see that effort transferring to the pitch.

Wedding Bells

The Club would like to offer best wishes to Deborah O'Mahony & Laurence O'Flynn who are due to be married on this coming Saturday. Both Bride & Groom have given great service to our Club & we wish them all the happiness in the world.

Mitchelstown v Kilara Og at Limerick Road on Wednesday 13th March at 7.30pm.
