With the severe weather conditions over the weekend, there were many games lost to the elements but our U14 football team did manage to continue their work with a challenge game away to Glanworth on Saturday.
After the torrential rain the previous night, under foot conditions weren't great but those present witnessed a great game of football from both teams.
Glanworth were playing with the wind in the first half and lead by 4 points to 1. Town upped the intensity in the 2nd half and it payed off, with the Blackthorns coming good & eventually winning the game 2:6 to 4 points.
The team & management would like to thank glanworth for hosting this challenge game and wish them the best of luck in the upcoming league and championship.
They also wish Paul Flynn a speedy recovery for his injury.
The management extend their thanks to all who came out to support the boys.
