As the saying goes "You Win Some & You Lose Some " & unfortunately this weekend saw us on a losing roll.

Our Juniors went under on Saturday when they traveled to take on Kilshannig. Despite battling well we found ourselves down by 0-09 to 0-05 at half time but things didn't work out & Kilshannig won out on a scoreline of 1-17 to 1-09 at the end.

The intermediates were in Beara on Sunday as we took on Castletownbere in the Co. DIV.4 FL.

Both teams were evenly matched & we were just 1 point down at half time 1-03 to 0-05.

The second half was equally contested & despite Mitchelstown leading towards the end , four unaswered points from CTB saw them victorious by a margin of two points. Final score 2-09 to 2-07.

Our Minors had their first competitive game of the year against Kilavullen on Sunday & unfortunately despite a good second half comeback saw us lose out by 3-09 to 2-05 at the end. This was a very young team that lined out & hopefully they will see better returns for their efforts in the coming games.

On the plus sides, it was nice to see our u11's & u12's enjoying their games against Ardfinnan & our u14s continue their good work with a trip to play our neighbours Ballyporeen.

Well done to all who togged out over the weekend & to the various management teams for their efforts.
